Bluetooth communication in industrial networks
Machine communication via Bluetooth
The most interesting new products in Acceed’s portfolio include the devices from the manufacturer Trycom Technology, for example the serial Bluetooth converter TRP-C51B . This module connects devices with serial data output (RS-232/422/485) up to 100m via Bluetooth, for example with a PC or a mobile device. The optional outdoor antenna makes transfer distances of up to 1km possible. The TRP-C51 supports direct link mode and pair mode. In pair mode, the module replaces a serial wire-based connection without much ado and is therefore ideally suitable for monitoring tasks or mobile applications.
Self-configured remote connections in pair mode
Pair mode is a special feature of the Trycom devices (also referred to as mirror mode). This operating mode, which is supported by all devices, enables the elegant linkage of two devices via the Internet without entailing technical or programming efforts. Directly after switching on and establishment of the connection via the IP address of the respective remote station, both pairing devices automatically share their communication settings. Both devices are then ready for transparent data transfer without making any further hardware or software settings - it could hardly be more comfortable. Thus, in this manner the respective 4 inputs and outputs of the TRP-C28 module can be used over large distances via the Internet to switch on spotlights, close gates, monitor contacts or to realise all types of remote switching. Only one device is needed respectively on each side of the pairing. LEDs indicate the status of each channel. The ASCII and modbus protocols are supported with a full command sequence. A dual watchdog and an auto-reset function belong to the further range of functions.
