Compact Linux IPC for the top-hat rail
Small, smart, cost-saving
Where otherwise an output-limiting PLC or an oversized PC was used, today cost-saving small intelligent control units can be placed in the switch cabinet, e.g. for lifts or machines and several other applications. The vertical top-hat rail assembly of the PAC-4000 enables the accommodation of an impressive number of devices within the smallest of spaces. At the same time, all the important interfaces and the signal LEDs are directed to the front. Only the power connection for the wide input voltage range from 9 to 40 VDC is made from the top via a plugged terminal socket. A plug-in for microSD cards is located on the bottom. The additional digital interfaces of the PAC-4010 make it a powerful controlling and monitoring component with operating options via LAN, WLAN and Web applications.
A lot of technology, small footprint
The PAC-4000 has two Ethernet connections, two USB 2.0 interfaces, four serial interfaces (two RS 232 and optionally two RS 232 or isolated RS 485) and one USB device connection. The PAC-4010 extends its functional scope by eight isolated digital inputs and eight digital outputs which can take burdens up to 500 mA. A 400 MHz ARM-9 processor provides the core. 64 MB SDRAM and 128 MB NAND flash are available as memory. Without plug connectors, the PAC-4000 casing only measures 130 (L) × 45 (B) × 102.5 (H) mm, the PAC-4010 casing is 20 mm wider.
With the integrated Web server PHP5, the Web platform supports SSLV1/V2, CGI, FastCGI and Python as well as SQL 5, SNMP V1/V2/V3, IPKG and Java. A product CD with free software is included in the scope of delivery. It is also possible to connect specified WLAN, 3G and Bluetooth dongles.
