EDAM-9466: Compact Ethernet IO module now also with PoE

The new IO module EDAM-9466 offers six digital input channels and six relay outputs (5 A 250 VAC, 5 A 30 VDC). Thanks to its power supply with PoE, the module can be used easily and fast everywhere in networks – a high-performance and simultaneously economical solution for transferring measurement data to LAN or the Internet.

Nowadays, it is indispensable to feed measurement values, data and signals into a network in industrial surroundings, building automation and several further automated areas. In the meantime, network connection options are provided in most machines and systems. However, the required power supply for the transfer hardware is often not available at the measurement locations themselves. It is then laborious and annoying if an additional power supply has to be laid first for transferral to the network. The new compact data recording module EDAM-9466 from Acceed saves this expenditure thanks to PoE (Power over Ethernet).

The EDAM-9466 is a digital IO module with six input channels for different digital signals. All the inputs are optically insulated (3750 Vrms). The module, which has the size of a box of cigarettes, is ideally suited for good value decentral data recording, remote monitoring and simple controlling tasks with a direct link between input and output signals. Acceed provides the matching Node-RED snippet as a free download under https://snippet.acceed.net/module/. Configuration software and drivers are also provided free of charge.

All EDAM series modules (with and without PoE) are particularly interesting for good value building management solutions and for decentral switching and monitoring tasks. The individual modules differ in the number and specifications of the input and output channels. The Acceed website provides a clear overview under the search term “EDAM”.

The casing for the highly compact modules is suitable for top-hat rail assembly, both in the switch cabinet and for wall assembly. Status LEDs display the most important information at a glance. Screw terminals are provided for the signal connection, the voltage range is either provided via an external power supply or, as for the EDAM-9466, simply via the Ethernet. All modules support the Modbus RTU protocol by default as well as TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP and ARP.
